Terms of Use
1. Provider, scope, and app licence
Runlocked is provided by Ngbesso Simon Emmanuel Aboua, email: team.reuso@gmail.com, phone: +43 660 3650905, as a natural person. The complete address for service appears in the directly accessible Legal Notice.
These Terms govern the Runlocked account and app functions. The licence for the app obtained from the Apple App Store is additionally governed by Apple's applicable standard end-user licence agreement and Apple Media Services terms. The Runlocked service agreement is solely between the user and the provider; Apple does not provide the Runlocked service and owes no Runlocked support.
Mandatory statutory rights, including consumer rights and statutory warranty, remain unaffected.
2. Minimum age, account, and confirmation
The Runlocked MVP may only be used by people aged 16 or older. Use requires a personal account authenticated through Sign in with Apple. By confirming, you state that you are at least 16 and agree to these Terms.
You must appropriately protect access to your Apple account and device and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Accounts must not be transferred or created repeatedly to bypass technical, security, or game rules.
3. Username, display name, and acceptable use
Username and display name may be visible to other signed-in users. You must not use names that infringe third-party rights, imply false official or commercial status, disclose another person's data, or are unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, or abusive.
Prohibited conduct includes manipulated or artificially generated GPS and progress data, abusive automation, unauthorised access, bypassing security measures, disrupting the service, reverse engineering outside mandatory permitted cases, and any unlawful use.
4. Functions, GPS, and game progress
Runlocked records location only during a run you started and have not finished or cancelled, where the required device permission is granted. Background recording may be needed to capture a run while the screen is locked.
GPS measurements and progress calculations may be inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete because of buildings, terrain, weather, reception, device sensors, the operating system, battery saving, or interruptions. A map, route, zone, or mission display is neither a navigation service nor a guarantee of accessibility, conditions, or safety.
Zones, districts, missions, and weekly goals are game features without monetary value. Technically implausible, incomplete, or manipulated runs may be rejected under the displayed quality and game rules. After activity deletion, dependent progress is rebuilt from remaining runs.
5. Safety in public spaces
Traffic rules, signals, signs, closures, property boundaries, access rights, weather, daylight, and the actual surroundings always take priority over Runlocked displays or goals. Do not enter private, closed, dangerous, or unsuitable areas and choose a safe and permitted route.
Do not operate the app where doing so impairs attention in traffic or movement. Stop in a safe place if interaction is needed. Runlocked does not monitor emergencies and does not replace emergency services or personal safety measures.
Buttons such as “Start run” and district or mission prompts merely start tracking or show game goals. They are not route approval, event organisation, safety assessment, or an instruction to enter a particular place.
6. Health notice
Runlocked is not a medical device and provides no medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or personal training clearance. Run and progress values are technical estimates, not medical measurements.
Physical activity can involve injury and health risks. You are responsible for assessing fitness, exertion, equipment, and conditions. Seek appropriate medical advice for symptoms, pre-existing conditions, or uncertainty, and stop activity when warning signs occur.
7. Availability, changes, and support
Runlocked is currently provided free of charge. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid services. Before paid functions are introduced, price, scope, and required consumer information would be provided separately.
Continuous and error-free availability is not promised. Maintenance, security action, technical faults, operating-system changes, or failures of Apple, Supabase, maps, or network services may limit functions.
Functions and game rules may evolve for objective reasons. Material adverse changes to these Terms will be communicated transparently and submitted for renewed acceptance where required. Support is provided through the email address in the Legal Notice; Apple has no support obligation.
8. Restriction and termination
Access may be proportionately restricted or suspended after appropriate review for concrete serious or repeated breaches, security risks, or abusive manipulation. Unless immediate action is required to protect others, the service, or comply with law, an opportunity to respond or remedy will be provided first.
You can delete individual activities in the relevant run view. Use can be ended at any time through “Delete account” in Settings. Account deletion requires recent Apple authentication and express confirmation; technical deletion details appear in the Privacy Policy.
If Runlocked is discontinued, users will be informed reasonably in advance where possible. Statutory claims and privacy rights remain unaffected after termination.
9. Rights in Runlocked and voluntarily shared content
The app, design, text, brand elements, software, and supplied mission content are legally protected. You receive only a non-transferable right to use Runlocked personally under these Terms and applicable App Store usage rules.
Runlocked currently provides no community posts, chat, profile-image upload, or public route upload. If you share a locally generated run graphic through the iOS share sheet, you are responsible for the recipient, content, and rights in any information you add.
10. Liability
Statutory liability and warranty rules apply. Liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, and mandatory product-liability or consumer law is not excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence is limited to breaches of essential contractual duties and typical foreseeable loss. This does not alter mandatory rights.
You remain responsible for route choice, physical exertion, traffic conduct, local rules, and decisions based on recognisably inaccurate GPS, map, or progress displays. Third-party providers' terms additionally govern their own services; claims concerning Runlocked must be directed to the provider, not Apple.
11. Applicable law
Austrian law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules. For consumers, this choice applies only where it does not remove mandatory protection under the law of their habitual residence. Statutory consumer jurisdictions remain unaffected.
12. Final provisions and contact
If a provision is wholly or partly ineffective, the remaining statutory and contractual rules remain unaffected. The statutory rule replaces the ineffective provision; no validity-preserving reduction to a consumer's detriment is agreed.
Questions, complaints, and claims concerning Runlocked may be sent to team.reuso@gmail.com. Complete operator details appear in the Legal Notice.
